First we where greeted by a man named Robert. he told us the rules about Ferrymead and told us that we have to take some photos and we had to answer some question about the places that we where looking at. Next we had to dress up as old school clothes, the boys looked like this...
And the girls looked like this...
Now we had to go into a big hall to get into our groups and to eat and play a game called Money or the bag. Half of the groups went of and had morning tea and the other half played money or the bag. I was in was group six our group leader was Brendan (Lily's dad) Me, Lily, Taine, Lara, Jack and Peita. we got to play the game first we had to listen to some music and we had to guess what the song was about. Charlie Lingaurd got it right and he was the first person to get it right and now he has to answer the question in the bag. he got both of them right and now Robert said 3 pennys money or the bag charlie said bag and then he offered 6 pennys money or the bag charlie said bag and then he got a chocolate. then we had some more people had a go and then we had morning tea. they let us eat animal cookies fruit and lammingtins. Next we went to look at all of the places at Ferrymead.
My high light of the trip was when we went into the old school and we put our acting skills on to try and act like it was in the old days. the teacher made the boys sit on one side of the room and the girls on the other, when someone talked over the teacher he would hit the desk with the cane. We had to write with ink pen. Here is a photo our hub in the classroom!!
At the end of our time at Ferrymead we got to go on the tram. we where split into the groups that we where in for the morning tea breaks and to play money or the bag and then we got to travel around the hole park.
And lastly my question what is a blog with out a question. have you been to Ferrymead and if you have what was your favorite part about your trip?
