amzing house of brick vist!

Hi my name is Zac and in the 5 of August 2019 house of bricks came to our school to do some challenges with us!

the first callenge was a car challenge. we had to get into pairs and make a car out of lego. I was in a pair with Benjain. our car got to the end of the hub but it could of gone futher.

the next challenge we did was a brige building challange! we got into groups of 2 or 3 and we got 45 munites to build a brige that would holed sonme books and pencil case's. I was in a group with Taine and Lucas.

the last challenge we did was a tower building challange. we got into groups of 2-3 and we got 45 munites to build our tower. I was in a group with Taine and Lucas again, We got second but we did our best.

Qustion: uf you had to do 3 building challeges for a year 5-6 what would they be?

Cross country!

On Thursday St Francis of Assisi school went to Walter park to do there Cross country! The year 7-8 went first so they could help the other children with worming up, Taine was racing with the year 7s because he was going to Australia he was in second place on the second lap. Next it was the year 1 and 2's they had to run a half lap. Next  it was the year 3-4's my brother Caleb was racing in the year 3's race he got second. Now it was my other brothers/Sebs turn to race, he got fifth place. Now it was my turn to race ready set go I was of i took the early lead then we went around a corner, Benjamin was coming close to me so I sprinted to the walk way now I had finished my first lap now I had to do that all over ageing. Benjamin was now right next to me my legs where tired they felt like jelly I kept going to the walk way and then I sprinted ageing to the last bit of the race we went around a corner and there was the finish line I sprinted my legs of me and Ben where so close but I won in the end.

after the race I felt so tired I walked to my drink bottle and drank lots of water. I congratulated Ben and all of the year 5 that ran in the race.

lets save the environment

Hi people

This week in Tumu hub some parents have come in and talked about the environment. Charlies mum came in on Tuesday to talk about her business. It was about using less plastic and helping the environment. first she showed us some of the stuff that she sell on her website like reusable straws, reusable bags, reusable coffee cups. and she told us what and what not to put in the green bin.

My amazing football team!

Hi my name is Zac and I play Football at St Fracis of Assisi School Chrithchurch.


Every week we go down to Hagley park to play winter sport. My School has 4 winter sport teams, Football, Rugby, Netball and Hockey. We play 7 a side for football and we have 2 subs in our team. I play striker and some times defence because I am good at kiking the ball away from the goal. Our goal keeper is called James Elenbroke, our defenders are called Dejon, Frankie and Hayaun. Our midfielders are called Jimmy, Karter and Ryan and our strikers are called Zac [ which is me :) ]  and Lucas.  This is our amazing team!

Fantastic Spelling

You might be thinking, what is a maths board?
A math board is a combination of a lot of diffrent things... you can do a visual solution, Solve it another way, Solve it numerically and Create a new word problem.

Our Amazing PBL

Hi my name is Zac and I go to St Francis of Assisi school Chirstchurch.

This terms pbl is about inavation! First we went around home base's and we made boat's out of tin foil, paper, tape, straw's and plastic cups. We have just started so me and my class have not been to every home base yet. Next we are going to Miss Parkers home base 2 and we will be making toy cars! I am excited for this term.
